We are ardent believers that books and a reading habit is one of the greatest inheritances that can be left behind to a child. Books on subject matters ranging from literature to fiction and poetry to political science jostle for space in the School Library and the collection is regularly updated. Frontline newspapers, periodicals and journals keep the students updated on the latest development in current affairs and global thinking. We are convinced that by developing a persistent reading habit our students will be able to not only enrich their thinking but find a lifelong companion.
At ALS,Anantapur we believe that it is not enough to simply teach children to read; we have to give them something worth reading. Something that will stretch their imaginations-something that will help them make sense of their own lives and encourage them to reach out toward people whose lives are quite different from their own.
